The Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association Annual "Step Up" Awards Program recognizes outstanding contributions to podiatric medicine, patient care, community service, and the advancement of the profession. These prestigious awards celebrate the dedication, innovation, and leadership of PPMA members and partners who exemplify the highest standards of podiatric practice and professional excellence. Nominations are reviewed during the House of Delegates meeting with honorees being recognized at The Annual Inauguration and Step Up Awards Dinner held in November. The nomination period for the following categories has closed for the year. PPMA will announce honorees later this year. In the event you wish to nominate a member, know that we will open up nominations for the next year in January to which we expect to take nominations up until April 30th. LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD Description: The highest honor bestowed by the PPMA, recognizing a podiatrist who has demonstrated exceptional career-long contributions to the field of podiatric medicine. This award celebrates a distinguished career marked by clinical excellence, professional leadership, mentorship, and lasting impact on the profession.
ADVOCACY AWARD Description: Honors a PPMA member who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing the interests of podiatric medicine through legislative advocacy, regulatory reform, or professional representation. This award recognizes those who work tirelessly to protect and enhance the scope of practice and professional standing of podiatrists.
PODIATRIST OF THE YEAR AWARD Description: Recognizes a PPMA member who exemplifies excellence in patient care and customer service as determined by patient feedback. This award honors a practitioner who demonstrates outstanding bedside manner, communication skills, patient satisfaction, and commitment to providing exceptional patient experiences. NOMINATIONS ARE CLOSED
COMMUNITY SERVICE AWARD Description: Celebrates a PPMA member who has made exceptional contributions to their local community through volunteer service, charitable work, or public health initiatives. This award recognizes podiatrists who extend their mission beyond their practice to benefit the broader community.
RISING STAR AWARD Description: Honors a podiatrist in the early stages of their career who shows exceptional promise and has already made notable contributions to the profession. This award encourages and recognizes emerging leaders who demonstrate innovation, dedication, and potential for future leadership in podiatric medicine.
PARTNER OF PODIATRY AWARD Description: Recognizes an individual, organization, or business that has provided exceptional support to podiatric medicine and the PPMA. This award honors non-podiatrists who have made significant contributions to advancing the profession, supporting podiatric education, or enhancing patient care. |
