The Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association Annual "Step Up" Awards Program recognizes outstanding contributions to podiatric medicine, patient care, community service, and the advancement of the profession. These prestigious awards celebrate the dedication, innovation, and leadership of PPMA members and partners who exemplify the highest standards of podiatric practice and professional excellence. Nominations are reviewed during the House of Delegates meeting with honorees being recognized at The Annual Inauguration and Step Up Awards Dinner held in November.

Nominations are accepted between January 1st and April 30th for the following categories:

LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD

Description: The highest honor bestowed by the PPMA, recognizing a podiatrist who has demonstrated exceptional career-long contributions to the field of podiatric medicine. This award celebrates a distinguished career marked by clinical excellence, professional leadership, mentorship, and lasting impact on the profession.

Description: Honors a PPMA member who has demonstrated exceptional commitment to advancing the interests of podiatric medicine through legislative advocacy, regulatory reform, or professional representation. This award recognizes those who work tirelessly to protect and enhance the scope of practice and professional standing of podiatrists.

Description: Recognizes a PPMA member who exemplifies excellence in patient care and customer service as determined by patient feedback. This award honors a practitioner who demonstrates outstanding bedside manner, communication skills, patient satisfaction, and commitment to providing exceptional patient experiences.
