Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act - Take Action

PPMA has been made aware of legislative efforts that, if successful, would support our members by reversing additional Medicare reimbursement cuts while providing our members with a well-deserved increase. We want to ensure our members are aware of this critical opportunity to show your support.

After Medicare payments were cut again for the fifth year in a row, an effort is being made to stop the cuts and implement a payment raise. Reps. Greg Murphy, MD (R-NC) and Jimmy Panetta (D-CA), along with a bipartisan group of lawmakers, have reintroduced the "Medicare Patient Access and Practice Stabilization Act" (H.R. 879). This legislation would cancel the 2.83% cut and provide a 2% payment increase, stabilizing practices and ensuring Medicare patients can continue to receive care.
