It is an honor to introduce myself to you for the first time as your new President. I have been a member of PPMA since 2016 and have appreciated all the benefits that membership in PPMA provides. I have served as an active board member of both PPMA and The Goldfarb Foundation, committed to providing value to our members.
I am currently an adjunct professor at Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine and a practicing podiatrist at Lee S. Cohen & Associates. I regularly lecture at podiatric educational conferences on sports medicine.
I want to provide you a quick update on a few initiatives:
The Goldfarb Foundation is preparing to open registration to its LESS CHAOS event (The Lower Extremity Surgical Symposium), which past participants have called "a real gem." LESS CHAOS will be a highly sought-after event in 2026 that you will want to share with residents and fellows in your network.
Our board has continued to waive membership dues for Pennsylvania residents, allowing them to reap the benefits of APMA and PPMA. You may wish to introduce PPMA to residents that you interact with by encouraging them to sign up for membership on our website.
Members who wish to volunteer their time in visiting a college of their choice to make a presentation on podiatric careers are encouraged to contact our office with questions, as we continue to support our members who want to volunteer their time investing in the grassroots efforts of student recruitment.
I will share updates with you throughout the year on legislation that impacts podiatry. We continue to advocate for you regarding reimbursements and offer a free review of coding issues by a Certified Coding Expert as a valuable part of your membership benefits.
Thank you for your membership in PPMA. If you have any issues that require support, please don't hesitate to contact our office. I look forward to working with you!
The Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association (PPMA) currently represents more than 875 Doctors of Podiatric Medicine (or podiatrists/DPM) across the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
