FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE PA Podiatric Medical Association Welcomes New President Edward D. Hutson Jr., DPM, of Easton, PA to lead Board of Directors Camp Hill, PA November 9, 2022 Pennsylvania Podiatric Medical Association (PPMA) is proud to announce its next President of the Board of Directors for the next term, Edward D. Hutson, Jr., DPM. Hutson has been involved with PPMA for some time serving as the President of The Lehigh Valley Division for ten years. He is a member of The American Podiatric Medical Association and The American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons. Hutson is a graduate of Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He operates two practices of his own, Easton Podiatry (https://www.eastonpodiatry.com/) in Easton and Northampton, PA and is affiliated with St. Luke’s Hospital.
Hutson is becoming president of the association that represents almost 900 podiatrists throughout the state of Pennsylvania at a time in which the profession is facing a shortage of podiatry school applicants. As another podiatry school in the nation is scheduled to open its doors shortly Hutson states, “It will be imperative that we continue to work together and increase grassroots efforts to introduce this profession to our youth and young adults. This means encouraging our members to go into colleges and high schools in their area to introduce podiatry to students to increase podiatry school applications.” PPMA helps its members obtain affordable malpractice insurance, is a voice for regulatory affairs, and provides its members with opportunities to obtain continuing education credits to keep their license up to date, so they can serve Pennsylvania’s patients with the best care. More information on the association can be found by visiting www.ppma.org.
