MCARE Abatement Urgent Action Still Needed! |

The Senate Public Health & Welfare Committee, Monday evening,
amended and reported HB 2648 to include MCARE Abatement language,
which continues the Abatement program through 2009. It is
important that each of our PPMA members contact his or her
Pennsylvania House Representative and tell him or her that you need
the MCARE Abatement and request that he or she support the amended
form of HB 2648. The Governor is still threatening a veto if his health care language to cover uninsured adults is not part of any MCARE Abatement Bill that reaches his desk. However, we MUST keep the pressure on our Representatives to keep this MCARE Abatement on the agenda and move it to the Governor’s desk. If you have not contacted your Legislator, please do it today.
